Thebacha & Wood Buffalo Dark Sky Festival

The annual Dark Sky Festival is a celebration of the return of dark skies to our northern latitude (60°N). Festival activities take place in Fort Smith, NWT and the in world's largest Dark Sky Preserve, Wood Buffalo National Park.

At the Dark Sky Festival we do not just look at stars - we try to answer your questions about science through fun and interactive activities.

Come and explore the universe - enjoy our northern hospitality!

Space & Time - How big, how long ...
Space is the universe we live in and is simply humongous ! The presentation will try and demonstrate just how huge it is !

Time is really really complicated and will not be explained in this presentation. We will however, demonstrate "how much" time has passed since the beginning of the universe, or our intrepretation.

The presentation will be broadcasted on TAWBAS's  YouTube Channel
